Access to clean water is essential for life and the dignity of people. Contaminated water is a cause for high cases of morbidity and mortality among one third of Somalia’s population. WARDO aims at increasing sustainable and equitable access to water in order to improve health and hygiene conditions. This is through construction and rehabilitation of water infrastructures, capacity building for treatment and management of water, improvement of sanitation facilities, hygiene promotion campaigns in schools and communities.
